    The Scruffs Insect Shield Blanket features built-in insect protection that is odourless and invisible which protects your dog against mosquitoes, fleas, ticks and ants. Permethrin, the active ingredient, is a synthetic variant of a naturally occuring insect repellent found in plants. It is tightly bonded to the fabric fibers of the blanket so that it retains effectiveness .
